In the midst of researching the beaver in history I stumbled upon an amazing site from Martinez, CA. Worth A Dam is a community organization founded in 2008 with a mission to protect the urban beavers living in Alhambra Creek in downtown Martinez and to provide beaver education and resources to residents and fellow beaver enthusiasts. It is still going strong today, as are the beavers!
